Radio Tour I Day 1

What up ya’ll? Greetings from the Hampton Inn in Tulsa, OK. It’s a little bit of a rainy day here in Oklahoma. We are on day 1 of a five day radio tour throughout the Midwest and southern US. I am traveling with my drummer/mechanic/personal assistant Matt Buerky. We’re sick of each other already – just joking. This morning, we started at 99 Hit FM in Springfield, MO with our old friend Rod Kittleman

Next, we were off to the Wind FM in Springfield, MO with our old friend KC Wright and our new friends Chalmer and Ben. We went to lunch [I talked them out of sushi] and we ended up at a Chinese buffet.

Finally, we left out for Siloam Spring, AR. Just for anyone who will be making the trek from Springfield to Siloam Springs any time soon…take some car-sick medicine. That drive is not for the faint of heart! We had a GREAT time with Mark and the crew at KLRC. We played a few songs for the staff and they fed us pizza and Chips Ahoy, so they are our new favorite people!! FINALLY…we hopped in the car and made the much straighter trek to Tulsa from Siloam Springs – which brings us back to the present – the Hampton Inn in Tulsa:) We will be hanging with the morning show peeps at KXOJ [www.kxoj.com] tomorrow morning. Check them out online and listen to the interview if you are able to.

It is beddy-bye time for me!! More updates tomorrow.

Progress Report

When I was in elementary and middle school, my teachers would give progress reports to let my parents know how well [or not so well] I was doing. This is my progress report for you:)

First of all, I am happy to unveil some new information about our upcoming record.

1-The record will be entitled ‘Until Everyone Is Free’. Although that particular phrase is not a song title, it is a prominent line in one of the songs on the record. It really sums up my vision and calling for this new season of my life…just going out there and doing everything in my power to help people find spiritual and physical freedom that can only be found in Christ.

2 -I am SO PROUD to present the cover art for the new record. My boy Steven Taylor did an amazing job on the design for this thing. He is in the beginning stages of re-designing our MySpace page as well as my main blog site.

3 – We are putting the final touches on the first single from ‘Until Everyone is Free’. The song is called ‘Love Song for a King’ and it will be at radio on April 10th. You know what that means…you need to find the number of your local AC or CHR radio station, and practice calling it 100 times a day from now until April 10th. Seriously, practice makes perfect!!

All that to say…these are exciting times!! Please stay tuned for new info and updates and the unveiling of the new single!

I Love March Madness!!

I am sitting on my couch watching live streams of every NCAA tournament game while my wife is watching Grey’s Anatomy in HD on the big screen. There is something a little goofy about that, but I’ll let it slide this time.

I love March Madness. I live in Columbia, MO – so therefore, I am rooting for my MU Tigers to win it all. I think I am the only person in the world…including MU folks, that has MU in the final four. I have them in the championship game…but I couldn’t pull the trigger on an MU win over UNC. I feel terrible about it. I feel like I need to repent for it.

My eyes will be glued to the live stream of CBSSports.Com for the next several weeks. Praise Jesus for the internet during Grey’s Anatomy!
